Amy’s Introduction Letter
My name is Amy Howland and I am running for a seat on the Bella Trea Promenade Board of Directors. As a full-time resident for the past 3 years, I’ve witnessed a noticeable decline in the appearance of our property as well as in the communication and responsiveness of our board, our many CAM’s and management companies. Yet, at the same time, our fees have increased. It is an alarming trend that I feel compelled to work diligently to reverse. Yes, there are challenges in today’s insurance situation, etc.; but in studying the budget, there are opportunities to reduce spending and waste that need to be pursued without compromising quality service.
I believe in fostering an open and collaborative relationship between the board and residents by ensuring clear communication about all matters being initiated, studied or considered for our community. Scott Jones, (also candidate for the board) and I have discussed our goal to promote transparency and inclusivity to build a more connected and informed community. All voices should be heard; as diverse perspectives and “out of the box” thinking, can lead to positive change.
I enjoyed a multi-faceted 27 year career with a Fortune 500 company prior to my retirement. I have vast experience in contract negotiation, accounting, logistics, conflict resolution and team management. It’s time to put those skills to work for all of us to initiate the change we need.
Scott’s Introduction Letter
My name is Scott Jones, and I'm running for the Bella Trea Promenade Board.
There are some words I never thought I would type.
I never planned or thought about running for a condo board, but I feel that change is needed, and I'm ready to help initiate that change.
As a Journalist who has worked at TV stations around the country, I know how to ask the right questions and get results.
First, let's talk about First Service (see what I did there?). Any resident who contacts First Service will receive a reply quickly, and your issue will be taken care of. I emailed First Service (along with the board president) once, over three months ago, and am still waiting for a reply.
If I'm on the board, that will NOT happen to any resident.
Now, let's talk transparency. As a board member, I will practice 100% transparency. I will engage with the residents to get their opinions BEFORE anything is brought to a board meeting. The board will make no decision without getting input from the residents, and I'm not talking about getting just 3 minutes to talk at the end of a meeting.
Speaking of the board meetings. I will post all public board meetings on YouTube. If you can't make the meeting, you can watch a replay of what happened. Again, total transparency.
My goal as a board member is to be your voice, to take action quickly, and to try to fix problems quickly.
When our mail stopped being delivered, Amy Howland and I went to the post office. We met with the Postmaster, and mail delivery was restarted that day. I feel like if we hadn't taken that action, we would all still be driving to the post office to pick up our mail today.
Amy and I are committed to improving the Promenade community and will spend some of our money (not the residents) to do just that. If elected to the board, you will see improvements to the grounds almost instantly.
My biggest goal as a board member is to do everything possible to decrease our monthly association fees.
I promise to work WITH residents and not against them.
Marybeth’s Introduction Letter
My name is Marybeth Piraneo and I am running for a seat on the Bella Trae Board of Directors. I have been a full time resident in Promenades for 6 years. Over the years, our community has gone through many changes. Unfortunately, not all have been positive changes.
At this time, I believe it’s time for another change…a board that works harmoniously not only with each other, but with the management company and the residents. Promenades is a special place to live! All residents should feel welcomed, respected, and heard.
Let’s work together to *keep our neighborhood safe * keep fees affordable *keep buildings and grounds properly maintained * keep home values rising
Work Experience:

Engage on Facebook
While the current board members look at the Promenade page on Facebook as the evil enemy, Amy, Marybeth, and Scott embrace the online community (props to Christina Colbert Flynn for running the page), where residents can reach out, exchange information, and voice concerns. If you’re not in the online community, click the button below and join us.
